Here's some infomation on the local State Parks & Trails.
Lake Griffin State Park: Three miles north of Leesburg off Highway 27-441. The park has fishing, boat ramp, canoe rentals, camping, picnic pavilion and nature study. Admission is $4 per vehicle (up to 8 people). 352-360-6760
Lake Louisa State Park: Seven miles south of the Highway 50 & Highway 27 interchange in Clermont on Highway 27. The park features a campground, cabins, picnic area, beach, hiking, equestrian trail and nature study. Entrance fee is $4 per vehicle (up to 8 people). 352-394-3969
Gen. James A. Van Fleet State Trail: Starts in Mabel (four miles west of Mascotte on Highway 50). The 29.2 mile path is paved and goes to Polk County. Biking, hiking, and equestrian uses. 352-394-2280
West Orange Trail: A 22 mile paved trail that goes from Winter Garden to Apopka. The County Line Station is on Highway 50 at the Lake-Orange county line, east of Clermont. Bicycle and skate rentals are available. Ten miles of this trail is equestrian. 407-654-5144 or 407-654-1108

CLERMONT PARKS

Bishop Field: Baseball field on the southeast corner of East and Broome.
Center Lake Park: Fitness trail off Hwy 50 and Eigth in downtown Clermont.
Chestnut Park: Playground, basketball court and picnic tables located on Chestnut Street between Holly and Ryan streets.
Edgewood Place Park: Playground, located on North Street between Overlook and Hillside in the Edgewood Place subdivision.
Eigth Street Trailhead: Scenic trail, picnic tables, covered pavilion, fishing pier, located on Eight Street and Minneola Avenue.
Fourth Street Pier: Fishing pier at the north end of Fourth Street on Lake Minneola.
Hancock Park: Located on the east side of Clermont on Hancock Road, south of Hwy 50, is the home of Clermont Girls Softball League. Hancock Park has five softball fields, full concession, restrooms, two soccer fields, playground, pavilion, tennis courts, basketball courts and and picnic areas.
Kehlor Park: Clubhouse, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts and horeshoe area located on Fifth Street between Osceola and Minneola Avenue.
Lakeview Hills Park: Picnic tables and fitness station trail located north of Brogden Drive adjacent to Ridge Avenue on the Lakeview Hills subdivision.
Mickenney Park: Playground, with basketball courts, volleyball court, softball field, pavilion and fitness trail. Located at Bloxam and DeSoto.
Montrose Tot Lot: Playground and basketball court at Montrose and 12th Street.
Palatlakaha (Pals Park) Recreation Area: Playground, picnic tables and pavilion, exercise and fitness station trail, softball field, football/soccer field, tennis, volleyball, basketball and racqueball courts, nature trail, boardwalk, fishing pier and canoe launch. Located on 12th Street, one block south of Hwy 50.
Paradise Park: Trampoline bridges to bounce on, a stage for imaginary plays, misting palm trees, a rock wall, flamingo slides, a treehouse and much more. Located on Hwy 27, one mile south of Hwy 50.
Seminole Park: Playground and picnic tables on Seminole and 13th Street.
Veteran's Park: Benches on Third Street and Minneola Avenue.
Waterfront Park: Playground, volleyball courts, basketball court, picnic tables, grills, fresh water beach, fishing pier and bathhouse at the south end of Lake Minneola between Second and Eigth streets. There is a $2 parking fee.
West Beach: Freshwater beach, pier, picnic tables and swings on Lake Minneola. Located on the east side of 12th Streets north of Carroll Street.
West Park: Softball and baseball field north of Highway 50 on 12th Street.
GROVELAND PARKS

Lake David Park: Swimming, boating, boat ramp, picnic tables and gazebo. Located on Orange Street and South Lake Avenue, one block south of Hwy 50.
Beverly Park: Fitness Trail, basketball, volleyball, playground and picnic pavilion. Located on Beverly Drive and Second Street.
South Street Park: Basketball and playground on Gadson Street and South Street.
J. Thomas Memorial Field: Major, minor and t-ball baseball fields on Main Street andn Pamelo Street.
MINNEOLA PARKS

Minneola Park: Playground, picnic tables access to Lake Minneola Scenic Trail (3 mile trail for walking, bicycling or skating). South of E. Washington Street on S. Bloxam Avenue and then east on Madison Street.
MONTVERDE PARKS

Kirk Park: Pavilion, picnic tables, grills, swing sets, baseball field and tennis courts. Located on Franklin and Division streets, east of CR 455.
Lake Florence Park: Toddler's playground, picnic tables and fishing dock on Porter Avenue, west of CR 455.
Truskett Park: Picnic tables on Lake Apopka - Porter Avenue east of CR 455.
MASCOTTE PARKS
