Population: 7,523 Area: 3.3 square miles Lake County: Named for the 1,400 plus lakes Lake County cities are known by Central Floridians as some of the best places to shop for antiques or for grabbing a bite to eat at one of the local cafes. It has some of the most diverse and beautiful terrain in the entire state with an abundance of lake and canal views. Lake County is home many attractions including some marvelous golf courses. Local attractions include: Hall of President's Museum, The Tiki Bar, Lake Minneola, Sugarloaf Mountain, Showcase of Citrus (The Citrus Tower) the Lakeridge Winery, and many unique golf courses. Minneola City Hall is located at 800 N. Highway 27, and the phone number is 352-394-3598. Minneola is goverend by the Mayor and four City Council members. City Council meeting are held the first Tuesday of each month in the Minneola Community Building located at 302 W. Pearl Street at 7pm. The public is invited to attend these meetings. The City of Minneola has two water treatment facilities: Eastridge water treatment plant and the Oak Valley Water Treatment plant. The system is looped so that either plant is able to provide water to the entire city. |
